Beauty in Imperfection
May 26, 2021I seen a bald eagle at Finger Lake Wasilla Alaska this past winter. I didnt notice that the eagle was banded and had a broken beak when I was taking the pictures. This was quite apparent when I got home. At first I was thinking, well this is no good, but then I got to thinking it was actually better..it tells a story. This eagle was hurt and someone had the kindness to take it to the wildlife rehabilitation center. Not only does this eagle remind us that there are kind people but that wounds can heal. This eagle was thriving just fine after being released and stands out against the other eagles.
I will always look for this particular eagle when I’m in that area and will always remember that sometimes what may be perceived as a flaw is just a sign that something has been overcome.
